Make Delicious Summer Cocktails & Mocktails Using Cocktail Kits from Cream City Caramels
If you’re a holiday customer of ours, (or even if you’re not) you might already know that during the holidays we serve up a fabulous selection of liqueur filled treats. Recently, in our search for delightful and delicious confections for the coming holiday season, we came across some yummy libations for summer.
For those who know us well, you know that we enjoy a good craft cocktail now and again. When we’re able to take some time off, we enjoy hopping in the car with our pups Dagger & Asher and taking road trips. We enjoy seeing new (to us) sights and experiencing local haunts where we can find good food and genuine hand crafted cocktails… home made bitters, fresh juices, local spirits and a superb mixologist. When we find something special, our first thought is to share it with our friends.
This is one of those instances where we found something that we’re pretty excited about. We’re calling them Cocktail & Mocktail Kits. They’re not so much a kit that contains everything that you need to create a cocktail, as they are a kit that contains a collection of ingredients that you can use to make a concoction that will form the basis for some pretty amazing cocktails or mocktails. Each “kit” contains a jar or bottle containing ingredients such as dried fruits, flavor-infused sugars, spices, etc. Open the container to add your favorite spirit, tea, juice, or even water. Once filled, place the container in the refrigerator and allow the ingredients to be infused into the liquid, shaking the container gently every day or so. After the concoction has been allowed to macerate for the prescribed period of time, pour 1-1/2 to 2 ounces of the liquid into a glass filled with ice, add your favorite summer mixer (tonic, lemonade, soda, tea…) or a mixer that will compliment the ingredients in the bottle. Stir, and voila!, you’ve created a delicious drink that you can enjoy out on the patio this summer.
