Black Licorice. You either love it, or you hate it, right? There is no in-between. Or is there?
When we started Cream City Caramels almost nine years ago, and we began to sell our caramels at local pop-ups, people began to suggest that we make caramels of all sorts of flavors. But there was one flavor that was requested more than any other: Black Licorice.
It’s sort of ironic that, when we have Black Licorice Caramels in stock, we have a difficult time selling them. But when the stock is beginning to run low, or when we have just run out of them, then we get all sorts of folks asking when we’ll be making our Black Licorice Caramels again. When we have them, it can be difficult to sell them. When we don’t have them, people want them. I can’t explain it.
What I can tell you, is that our Black Licorice Caramels are delicious. I can say that about these caramels, even though I don’t like black licorice. I was one of those kids, that would give all of the black jelly beans from my Easter basket, to my dad. I like red licorice (Red Vines far more than Twizzlers). But whenever we make a batch of Black Licorice Caramels, I devour them.
We all know people who like black licorice. Well, this is the time to buy some Black Licorice Caramels and concoct a reason to give them, as a gift, to those black licorice lovers that you know. I guarantee they will thank you. While you’re at it, get a bag for yourself. You’ll be surprised how much you like Black Licorice Caramels.

It’s back! The return of Lakefront Brewery’s Maifest – a gluten-free friendly celebration of Spring!
Join us as we embrace the warm weather with an outdoor celebration featuring a variety of vendors dishing out food, beverages, art, crafts, and other local flair. The entire area to the East side of Lakefront Brewery will be transformed into a makers market that will keep your hands full! Take in views of the Milwaukee River and skyline as you sip and nosh on the best gluten-free goodies Milwaukee has to offer. This event is meant to accommodate those with a gluten-intolerance and will feature all gluten-free food and beverages (with the exception of some of our beers). Maifest is also kid friendly! Don a flower May-crown, get a kids glitter tattoo, and enjoy live entertainment as you frolic to your heart’s desire. While this isn’t a pet-friendly event, well behaved pups are welcome in our outdoor space.

Join us for the highly anticipated - Annual Downtown Lake Geneva Wine Walk. Spend a lovely afternoon strolling through the streets of Lake Geneva, enjoying samples of wine along the way.
Guests will enjoy sampling wines while visiting various downtown businesses. Proceeds of this event will benefit the Never Say Never Playground project.
