Black Licorice Caramels Now Available… For a Limited Time.

Black Licorice. You either love it, or you hate it, right? There is no in-between. Or is there?

When we started Cream City Caramels almost nine years ago, and we began to sell our caramels at local pop-ups, people began to suggest that we make caramels of all sorts of flavors. But there was one flavor that was requested more than any other: Black Licorice.

It’s sort of ironic that, when we have Black Licorice Caramels in stock, we have a difficult time selling them. But when the stock is beginning to run low, or when we have just run out of them, then we get all sorts of folks asking when we’ll be making our Black Licorice Caramels again. When we have them, it can be difficult to sell them. When we don’t have them, people want them. I can’t explain it.

What I can tell you, is that our Black Licorice Caramels are delicious. I can say that about these caramels, even though I don’t like black licorice. I was one of those kids, that would give all of the black jelly beans from my Easter basket, to my dad. I like red licorice (Red Vines far more than Twizzlers). But whenever we make a batch of Black Licorice Caramels, I devour them.

We all know people who like black licorice. Well, this is the time to buy some Black Licorice Caramels and concoct a reason to give them, as a gift, to those black licorice lovers that you know.
