Richfield Historical Socity's Thresheree & Harvest Festival

Move the calendar back to when steam engines that powered threshing machines moved from farm to farm to harvest the grain. Have you ever seen large logs sawed using steam power? You will experience all of these long-ago activities, plus much, much more (exhibits, demonstrations, blacksmithing, encampments, to name a few) at the 23rd Annual Thresheree and Harvest Festival.

The kids will enjoy some hands-on activities such as sifting flour, having fun pedaling tractors and taking home a balloon critter. They will also enjoy seeing old tractors in the daily parade.

Sit down to eat a brat or burger while listening to a variety of music. Bid high to get the treasure you want in the Silent Auction tent. Look for a bargain at the Sweets 'n Stuff tent. And, don't forget to take a tour of the Messer/Mayer Mill to see all the milling equipment, Mill House to view pieces of furniture original to the house and Lillicrapp Welcome Center to peak your interest in history with Richfield maps from 1859, 1873, 1892. The Log Cabin, Log Barn, Blacksmith Shop and Sugar Shack will have interesting demonstrations and activities.
