The perfect accompaniment to our Schokolad’ Bär Sipping Chocolate!

Before we ever began to sell our delicious Salted Vanilla Caramels, while selling caramels as a business was still an imagination, we wanted to make rice crispy treats with caramel, instead of marshmallow. Well, we never got around to even trying a test batch! In our small commercial kitchen it’s been difficult just trying to keep up with the demand for our buttery caramels!

Little did we know that some gal called Carrie had started her own small business at about the same time. After seeing her, or more usually, her husband Brian, at shows, we got to know them a bit. Making Caramel Crispie Bars was still in our plan; but that particular plan wasn’t making any progress. Finally we asked Carrie’s Crispies to try making them for us. After just a handful of test batches, we were in the crispie treat business!

Carrie’s Crispies still makes our Caramel Crispie Bars, using caramel that we make for them. They really are delicious. To a Caramel Lover they’re far more delicious than the marshmallow ones.

I always tell our show customers that two bars are perfect for breakfast; but if you’re going to eat them for dinner, then three bars is the perfect amount.

Whatever the occasion, always buy more than you think you need. This is how we try to make a living, after all!
